Maybe happiness is this:
not feeling like you should be elsewhere
doing something else, being someone else.

And the days that I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations,
I have really good days.

Twisted

I know there has been an overload of dried nature photographs here recently, but can you blame me?
I found this beauty in my garden this morning . If only I could figure out how to preserve this and wear it around my neck.

Beautiful Things

I want to tell what the forests were like
I will have to speak in a forgotten language.

Chlorophyll Eaters

There are some insects which eat the chlorophyll off the leaves of my White flower creepers
leaving beautiful squiggly designs on them.

1/1/2012: I think I might have found a clue to who these Chlorophyll eaters are.

Aloe Vera

One quick post to procrastinate just that little while before beginning work.
I did these drawings on Sunday.

And of course somebody was mighty busy doing what she does best ; )

"what are you going to do with your life? In one way or another it seemed that people had been asking her this forever; teachers, her parents, friends at 3 in the mornin', but the question had never seemed this pressing & still she was no nearer an answer......... 'live each day as if it's your last', that was the conventional advice, but really, who had the energy for that? What if it rained or you felt a bit glandy? It just was'nt practical. Better by far to be good & courageous & bold & to make difference. Not change the world exactly, but the bit around you. Cherish your friends, stay true to your principles, live passionately & fully and well. Experience new things. Love and be loved, if you ever get the chance."
~ D Nicholls.

To this, I'd like to add 'eat well and spend less time on the internet'. And in the spirit of doing that, I'm off now to prepare lunch, draw more and take a big break from the net. See you later.
