Regeneration

For Current Conservation magazine. Illustration for an article about Plant Pathogens.

There exists neither heaven nor hell,
nor gods nor devils,
neither spirit nor soul
nor angels,
nor miracles;
nothing to pray to,
so no need for prayer.
There is only this wondrous world
and the glorious natural cycle
of life and death.
Examine it closely
and it should be enough.

That Old Bungalow

Whenever I walk through North Road, I stop by these gates
And I peer inside

Trying to see as much as I can
 Through the dense foliage
 Ferocious growth
 And tangled vines
I glimpse a dark window here
 An old fountain there.
But the merciless verdure pushes me back
 And I retreat
Turning back for one last look
And another
Before going my way.

Beautiful Things

I want to tell what the forests were like
I will have to speak in a forgotten language.

Wildflowers of Coorg

They were omnipresent and this is just a small sample of colour, uniqueness and abundance along the roadsides, fields and pathways.
