A House I Once Knew

From the plum tree
When I unwrapped layers of time and peered in, I found what was once so large and almost tangible seemed smaller, diminished. However, what pervaded the air around me was the colour of the memory, the scent of its emotion, as real as the time I was standing in now as I lost myself in the past.

Beautiful, I love reading what you write with the paintings you compose around them. Priya, I have been disturbed after reading your 'And that's it' post on the plum tree and after having failed to figure out a way to comment after that post. I was meaning to send you an email or FB msg lately and am SO happy to see this! Thank you! Where is the 'Follow' button?

I love oil pastels and getting my fingers all dirty. (and subsequently everything else)

Nice coloring and reflecting mood story.

Wow! very nice. Reminds me of a beautiful book called 'Someday' illustrated by Peter H Reynolds.

There is a page where the kids leaves home for her own life, turns back and thinks how is it that big, massive house where she had stayed for so long looks so small!
Exactly the same thought - the illustrations on that page is simple and I can never forget that image.

Your painting evokes the same feeling.

That image can be seen here -
