A crow flew into the tree outside my window.
It was not Ted Hughe’s crow, or Galway ’s crow.
Or Frost’s, Pasternak’s, or Lorca’s crow.
Or one of Homer’s crows, stuffed with gore,
after the battle. This was just a crow.
That never fit in anywhere in its life,
or did anything worth mentioning.
It sat there on the branch for a few minutes.
Then picked up and flew beautifully
out of my life.

Certainly something to crow about. very nice I say.
Your crow is a fine, glossy fellow and I enjoyed the poem.
Beautiful Raven.I'm really enamoured by the jet black colour.I first had a pet crow called NONDI,coz he had a single leg. Then another crow called Rajee. And currently a crow called fishy. They are so intelligent. And I just can't do without them.
Thank you Sanctified. I am really intrigued about the crows you had as pets. First time I've heard of anyone having keeping a crow as a pet. Can you tell me more? Is it possible to see a picture?
Beautiful.
Hi Priya,
I haven't caged these birds. They recognise me and call out to me.They are on their own. This is the link of pic I have of Rajee. She has a family of her own now.Thanx for wanting to know.

gorgeous charcoal, as usual. and perfect quote. the crows here are especially marvelous, i think. do you know what the slightly iridescent purple ones are with the unexpected marvelous song?
Hello Priya,
Your crow is so compelling. I loved the poem.
I must say, the fact that you have no leeches in Bangalore makes me want to come and visit you. (Even more than I already did.)
One day, I hope...
Oh Lovely... a Beautiful Crow!!! I love them, you know!!!
Thank you Gwen. They lend themselves so beautifully to charcoal.
