Gift

Yesterday, the postman delivered a gift for me all the way from Belgium, from long time blog reader and friend Megha. Inside it there were these charming little pots of Bonne Maman jams (which are frightfully expensive here), and ...and...AND.....
...small, intimate and mysterious,

Two things I like best - sweet stuff and Seed pods. Thank you so much Megha. I am really touched by your gesture.
Do check out Megha's beautiful blog and her spectacular photography at Arth and Nitya.

Found

Aren't they exquisite?

God is a metaphor for that which transcends all levels of intellectual thought.
It is as simple as that.

Those gorgeous red seeds in the speckled pods are seeds from the Sampige or Champak tree  (thanks Prabha). The scent from the flowers of this tree create a feeling of euphoria and are used to produce one of the world's most  expensive perfumes called 'Joy'. ( All info from Google Search of course). The seeds of course leave lovers of nature utterly enthralled.

My friend Prabha paints nature that she finds on the road in her beautiful watercolours. She has printed her sketchbooks and they are for sale.
Do have a look at her lovely work on Curve and Line.

REDBOOK in Kyoorius!

I must take this break from a break from blogging to sound the horn ...can you blame me? My Redbook got featured in Kyoorius Magazine!  There was my name on the cover too in big block letters. I never ever would have thought something done for fun would end up getting featured in a Design Magazine.
Please click on the link below and click on the grey icon with my name  to read the write up:
You can see my entire Redbook in a slideshow here >>>
and you can read all about The Redbook Project 'exchanges' in my old blog here >>>

Pardon me for sounding so excitable.

ps: Thanks a lot to Vineeta of Artnlight for helping me get my hands on a copy of Kyoorius !

Okay, back to my break ;-)
