Finally I'm glad to be back at my desk making progress on an illustration once more...

I'm getting back to sketching regularly. This one was done over the week end.

I keep thinking about the film Babel which showed seemingly unrelated situations and characters and how through actions, choices and events they become interlinked through the course of the movie. I am sitting here at my desk blogging and drawing while in Japan people are reeling under devastation and calamity. It seems unrelated to me right now with Japan so far away but I cannot help but think that disasters like this will end up affecting us all in ways we do not know and cannot fathom yet...

And I get to display this which is more than I ever expected - The Hair Myth hob-nobbing among all those deep and meaningful writings ;-)
This is as far as it will go since the top 6 will be chosen from here.
So thanks a million to all those who voted for me. I am really touched.

I think I love the cat sketch best of all...

And you are right, I believe, all these events happening around the world are connected to us, we are all affected, and no doubt in ways we haven't imagined yet.

Be well Priya...

The first sketch is gr8 Priya. I've been thinking of sketching on a regular basis - very inspiring. Japan has been on my mind too, the inter connectedness ( is that even a word) is thought provoking.
