You work wonders with charcoal, my friend.

This seems more...right than many photos I've seen. Maybe not more realistic, bu more right.

Is that a silly thing to say about art?

you have done a superb job :)

Karine and Megha: Thank you! :-)

Hari Bhatti: You have hit the nail on the head with your comment and I'll take it as a compliment:-)
The picture seems 'more right' because it captures the energy and spirit of the subject rather than merely portraying a realistically accurate image.

in nid i did a project where i studied crows, and in mythological book i read the the crow had two sockets and only one eyeball, which moved from one eye socket to another hence the head movements it makes.
it is only a myth but i found it very interesting and worked around that myth.
quite an amazing creature the crow.

I just found you... I love the Raven (or crow), you have the mad wildness in his eye - all the more powerful becaue he stares straight at us - a challenge, a taunt, or maybe just his own black-feathered wit and quickness...
Best wishes

That's it ....you've captured the energy of the crow.... and I wouldn't be surprised if it was about to raid something.

What a beautiful bird! I love the way you drew the eye and the feathers. There is a great energy in it!
